(Todd) taught me the concepts of not only playing the music, but to truly listen to it, the feel, the time, and ways in which to improvise, develop, and create were added in along with the history of the instrument, styles, genres and many other pieces in an interesting and fun way.

"I started studying drums with Todd just under four years ago. As a late comer to the idea of learning and playing music (being in my later teens), he gave me a great foundation and solid structure that allowed me to develop greatly and in such a short time period.

He taught me the concepts of not only playing the music, but to truly listen to it, the feel, the time, and ways in which to improvise, develop, and create were added in along with the history of the instrument, styles, genres and many other pieces in an interesting and fun way.

A while after I had begun lessons I moved into trying to achieve my graded music qualifications, and within a few years, (as of the time in which this review was written), with Todd's direction and tuition, I currently hold up to my Grade 6 in 'Drums & Percussion' at a level of distinction.

I achieved a number of great things with his help and support, and through lessons and the development of my playing, it has also interested me to move further into the realm of music making. I can safely say that i would thoroughly recommend Todd as a teacher to anyone. He is an all round friendly and great teacher, and will no doubt set you on your way to success whatever age group or ability."

"(A) drum lesson with Todd is like meeting up with an old mate he’s chilled makes you feel comfortable and best of all knows his drums. After a 1 hour session with Todd it brought back life into my playing and spurred me on to continue practicing things I hadn’t visited in years."

"I have been taught by Todd now over the past 10 years on an off, always been my favourite tutor.

Coming back and getting a drum lesson with Todd is like meeting up with an old mate he’s chilled makes you feel comfortable and best of all knows his drums. After a 1 hour session with Todd it brought back life into my playing and spurred me on to continue practicing things I hadn’t visited in years.

10/10 drum tutor would recommend to everyone looking to learn drums or revisit old techniques you had maybe forgotten."

"He uses his wealth of experience across recording, playing live and playing with different musicians and instruments to give real life examples of when he has used what he is teaching you. He has a great knowledge of the history of the drums and knows who to recommend you watch for each different technique he teaches you."

"Todd has been teaching me for a number of years now and has always been an awesome tutor. He is unlike any other tutor I have heard of, letting you choose the direction of your lessons with him being able to teach whatever you throw at him. Having had many sports injuries over my time with him so far, Todd has always tailored my lessons around them and has spoken of his experience with them and how he has got around them. He has helped me achieve grades, as well as teaching me certain songs, styles and techniques. He always has resources to show and give you so you can work on them outside of your lessons and is always around for you to get in touch if you need to ask him any questions. Todd teaches the techniques he feels best suited to what he is teaching you, as well as giving you others to try out- as he knows every drummer is different.

He is really friendly and welcoming and actually cares about his students as individuals. He is a very understanding tutor and is never angry if you couldn't practice as much one week. He uses his wealth of experience across recording, playing live and playing with different musicians and instruments to give real life examples of when he has used what he is teaching you. He has a great knowledge of the history of the drums and knows who to recommend you watch for each different technique he teaches you.

He is always encouraging and supportive and I would thoroughly recommend Todd to anybody who wants to learn to play the drums as a beginner or work on specific techniques. He has helped me develop a lot over the years he has taught me and let me turn what other tutors may see as a mistake into something new, helping me to see that mistakes are always ok."

"Todd has helped me find a unique love for the drums and you can tell how passionate he is for the instrument...If you're looking to get started or want someone who shares your passion I would definitely recommend Todd as a teacher and mentor."

"I've been taught by Todd for 4 years and I have enjoyed every single lesson - in fact I don't even think of them as lessons.

Todd has helped me find a unique love for the drums and you can tell how passionate he is for the instrument. He knows how to help with any problems you have and how to get a feel for time and listen to drummers and songs carefully. Todd has taught me about different styles and history of drumming and how they all interconnect and can help improve and understand how to play.

Todd really knows his way around the drums and how to teach and help you become more passionate about them. He has very in-depth knowledge about the drums and has helped with any questions I have had in the past. He also is a great motivator and has a lot of tricks to help you keep up with practising.

Even throughout lockdown, we both adapted to online teaching and the time really helped me to improve my technique which Todd guided me through.

If you're looking to get started or want someone who shares your passion I would definitely recommend Todd as a teacher and mentor."
